3 Rules of Work

3 Rules of Work:
Out of clutter find simplicity;
From discord find harmony;
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

    Certainly everything seems easier when in order, anyway in disorder anything is definitely more complicated.

    Harmony is better than discord, when possible. Not always it is possible to find a point of agreement with whom you disagree.

    Opportunities are always found through many difficulties, only a few lucky people get good opportunities without difficulty.

    Everyone has their own order. I have often found my order is disorder to someone else and vice versa.
    Harmony is only possible when there is rispect for your fellow worker. You can disagree, we are not robots made out of the same mold, but it is important to understand and rispect and maybe we can even use someone elses ideas for our benefit, giving credit where it is due.
    Opportunities are often presented through people we know, often for the reputation we have earned: diligent worker, precise, does more than expected, etc. Difficulties, affronted and resolved well bring you to the limelight but in todays world when you have 1000 candidates for 5 positions and they all have the same requisites or qualifications you can be sure someone knows someone else. The difficulty, other than showing you are a valuable and well adjusted person, is often being at the right place at the right time in my opinion .

    Great comments from Fabio and Louise. I agree with both of you so there is nothing I can add. 🙂

    Instead, I’m amazed how many of Einstein’s quotes can be applied to a vast number of subjects; leadership in the case of this blog. I’m sure Einstein spoke from a physics/mathematical perspective and in the case of this quote I can see the science angle.

    By clutter and simplicity perhaps Einstein was thinking about mathematical chaos theories. Harmony and discord could be about odd, even and prime numbers. Finally, difficulty and opportunity may be a reference to looking for answers that often lie in the questions.

    Just as da Vinci drew from nature the solutions to many of his problems, Einstein did the same but with physics. It just goes to show how our daily grind is so entwined with the laws of physics and nature.
